MSVS 2017, LNK1112 module machine type 'x64' conflic
Anybody else trying MSVS 2017 or 2019? Copperspice 1.6 as pulled from github. I need 64 bit builds, and this error seems pretty common. Limiting the build to cscore I get: Severity Code Description Project File Line Suppression State Error LNK1112 module machine type 'x64' conflicts with target mach...

Re: Building on Win 10 MSVS 2017 and CMake
Of course I understand... and I feel bad about posting here. But this seems to be the preferred place. As somebody suggested before, a "slack" channel can be used to deal with these issues... leaving no residue behind :D Once I get this built my hope is to build some sample qwt plots. But ...

Re: Building on Win 10 MSVS 2017 and CMake
So I just "built" 32 bit debug inside MSVS ... still prelim results, but the are tracking what I was seeing out of a CMake/Ninja build. Ninja just quit sooner.
See the snap shot below .
Is this output consistent with prior builds?

Re: Building on Win 10 MSVS 2017 and CMake
I have attached a console window snapshot So MSVS 15.9.17, MSVC (cl) 19.16.27034 So dated 10/14/19 are these release notes: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/releasenotes/vs2017-relnotes I have to admit being tied so tightly to compiler versions scares me. I am a mechanical engineer ... ...

Re: Building on Win 10 MSVS 2017 and CMake
Will drop back to "stock" tomorrow, East Coast time here.
I have the libs installed already and will set the env vars to point to them. Just a quick new branch and will give it a go.
I will follow up with the exact MSVS 2017 version.

Building on Win 10 MSVS 2017 and CMake
First where should this discussion occur? We are making sausage here and it isn't usually pretty. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have modified the top level CMakeLists file to use conan to bring down OpenSSl/Zl...

Re: HELP: How to get started with CopperSpice?
Barbra: Seems you are rather fond of mingw and gcc on Windows, and I can understand that having spent time on HP/Apollo/SGI boxes. Yes I am old. With MS newer MSVS Community edition licenses, you can use it commercially for free as long as : 5 or fewer developers less than $1 Million dollars revenue...

But I don't know what I have as in: Compiler MSVS 2017/2019 on mingw ... my guess is mingw because I don't see .lib extension I see Unix like .a Is this de...

Re: LGPL and “Trade Secrets”
Ok this has NOTHING to do with Copperspice .... rather Wroclaw. My wife and I spent 3 weeks in Poland last year with 3-4 days in Wroclaw. Let me say we are not wealthy but the Dollar to Zloty was/is SO FAVORABLE A few tips: Uber works just fine never paid more than $15 (US) for a ride the entire tri...
