Re: QSettings bug
I was trying to chase down this bug. I generated a hello_settings GUI application. It is the default "Hello World!" GUI application QtCreator generates with a button added to "Store Settings." The only significant piece of the code is here: [ Edit, code saved off line] I construc...

My bad, you hid the "list all" way up over here in the corner.

QApplication documentation bug
When you visit here https://www.copperspice.com/docs/cs_api/class_qapplication.html#a6a268e144ee8ee77882a3c9a010a661e You see this line. int flags = ApplicationFlags This is a break from the Qt 4.8 documentation. There is no link in the CopperSpice definition of that constructor nor is there any def...

Re: Linux library naming convention
As a side issue, please know there is no such thing as a "Debian of Diamond", did you mean a Debian package for the Diamond project? A developer might release an application using CS 1.7.0 and not be interested in updating to CS 1.8.0. Or a user wants to install some program that links wi...

QSettings bug
All, I cannot find the message thread. I believe it was in Diamond forum about someone pointing out a bogus .conf file. I think Barbara responded that was an OS thing. It's not. It's a bug in QSettings. I haven't dug into the code but I have stumbled into a good example porting Gede. m_globalSetting...

Re: Where's the UI Designer?
You should be doing all of your development on Linux. Most Linux distros have QtCreator in their repos; no registration required. [ Edit for content and clarity ] QDevelop seems to have been pulled from SourceForge Actually last bit of chatter about it seems to have been in 2006. All links to sourc...

Re: CopperSpice License Question
What is the situation with QtCreator? Could this go closed source? Tukkah (sp?) has admitted on the interest list they are in the process of doing this now. Tukkah doesn't care if you work on OpenSource projects, he wants you to always pay Qt money, however much he wants this time. That subscriptio...

Re: CopperSpice License Question
Moving back to Qt 4.8 is a strange and extreme option and if they wish to do that they should really consider CopperSpice and again, reach out to our team. Not extreme when you need an undeniable OpenSource version and you need to use Webkit due to QWebEngine licensing. They also needed a __stable_...

Re: CopperSpice License Question
The licensing decision has really hosed a lot. Didn't they go so far as to pull 5.15.x from the download areas as well? I haven't followed all of the discussion [edited] on the mailing list. I know of at least one major company moving back to Qt WebKit and I think 4.8 to get around all of the licens...
