Unexpected dependency on audio library NAS

Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble building copperspice 1.6.1 from source. When chasing down all the dependencies I found it depended on the NAS audio library. Resolving this dependency seems to be mandatory. This is after it has looked for ALSA and pulse. Why is this? Surely audio support should be optional. NAS turns out to be a right pain to build from source. I couldn't find it in the repos for KDE Neon (a variant of ubuntu).
