CopperSpice 2.1.0 was released on January 27 2026
Our current release includes a new plugin to support Wayland on all Unix platforms. This is an alternative to the X11 display system. The Wayland plugin will only be used when specified on the command line or by setting an environment variable. Users must opt-in to use the Wayland plugin. For information about Wayland and what to pass on the command line, please refer to our CS Overview documentation.

Another major enhancement is the addition of over 3000 new catch unit tests. This resulted in finding and correcting several issues in the core library. Several of the third party libraries were updated. Warning and debug messages in various libraries were improved and standardized.
